Delivery services will be unavailable until after the break due to staffing levels during the break. Please visit the library during open hours to borrow or return any materials. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.
Cook Delivers is a delivery/pick-up service for library materials offered to Towson University faculty and staff, which runs Monday-Friday during the Fall and Spring semesters.
Requests placed before 10:00 A.M. will be fulfilled on the same day, while requests made after 10:00 A.M. will be fulfilled on the next business day. Please bear in mind that this service is operated by our student assistants traversing campus on foot, so we cannot deliver to / from specific faculty offices, as we cannot guarantee deliveries at specific times. We also cannot deliver to departmental mailboxes, as we require signatures for every item dropped-off/picked-up.
We can deliver books listed as “available” in the Cook Library catalog as well as books that you have requested via the catalog (please wait for an email notification that they are on hold for you prior to your request). Books must be delivered to a department reception desks with full-time staffing. Simply send a delivery request for each item you would like delivered.
All materials borrowed directly or indirectly from the TU library can also be picked up from department reception desks by filling out the Pick-Up Request Form. Please note that we can only pick up 5 items/day – if you have more, please submit additional requests on subsequent days.
If you would like to request A/V materials (DVD/VHS/Blu-Ray) from our collection to show in a classroom, you can use our Media Request Form to schedule a date for screening/s and delivery.
The scanning and emailing of Cook Library’s print journals and book chapters is also available to faculty. To place a request, please use the interlibrary loan system.
