This is an audio walkthrough of Cook Library on the fourth  floor.

Enter from the stairwell or the elevator in the front side of the building. You are now in the lobby. In front of you and to the left are tables and chairs.  In front of you, behind the tables and chairs is the Interfaith Meditation Room, CK 401. To the left of the Interfaith Meditation Room are men’s and women’s restrooms and a water fountain.  Turn left and walk forward ten steps.  There may be tables and chairs obstructing your path.

When you reach the double doors to the main part of the fourth floor, enter and turn left. Walk forward following the wall to your left for about 10 steps until you reach a corner. To your left is a hallway. If you were to turn left and walk forward down the hallway, you would find a door on your right to enter Library Conference room 411, which also holds the Legacy Collection. Further down the hallway on the right is Library Administration, room 410.

Past the entrance to the hallway on your left, ahead of you is an emergency exit.  On your right in front of the emergency exit is storage room 412.

Return back to the double doors at the entrance to the main floor. With the doors behind you, walk forward. A podium is in your path. To the right of this podium is a door leading to a suite that includes the Office of Technology Services (OTS) Training Lab and Studio, room 404a, and the Faculty Academic Center of Excellence at Towson (FACET) Active Learning Lab, room 404B. At the end of the hallway and to the right is the doorway to 404C.

In front of the podium is a long aisle, about 60 steps long, leading to the back of the floor. Walk forward down the aisle. On your left is a row of bookcases containing Books and Journals. The books are organized alphabetically by call number, from call number QC, toward the back wall, to QL toward the podium and the front of the floor.  On your right is a row of bookcases containing Books and Journals from call number QC, near the front of the floor, to call number Z, and the Children’s Collection toward the back wall. Beyond the row of bookcases on your right is a row of desks and chairs.

Walk down the aisle past the row of bookcases.  You will reach a corner jutting into the aisle.  On the right side of the corner, in front of you, is a door to the FACET Faculty Lab, room 405, which also leads into FACET Staff Offices, rooms 405A through 405I (eye).  To the right of the door to this room is a passage leading to an elevator and staircase.

To the left of the corner wall, you can continue walking forward to the back of the floor.

Continue walking forward to the back wall.  On your right is a door to room 406.  Past that door, on the right, is a door to Library Staff Offices, room 407.  Past that door, on the right is a door to OTS Staff Offices, room 408.

Continue to walk along the back wall.  On your left, you will pass another aisle that leads all the way to the front of the floor.  Continue walking along the back wall until you reach the corner. Turn right.  In front of you is a back door to the OTS Staff Offices, room 408.  To the left of you is an emergency exit.

Turn around to face away from the back door to the OTS Staff Offices.  Ahead of you is a long aisle that leads back to the front of the floor.  There is a designated Quiet Zone of desks and chairs on the right side of the long aisle.  On the left side of the aisle are Books and Journals, from call number L in the front of the floor to call number PQ in the front of the floor.
