Borrowing Print Items
There is a small print collection at TU in Northeastern Maryland (TUNE) containing several reference items as well as children’s books. Visit the TUNE Welcome Desk or Suite 202 to access this collection.
Students and faculty may have print items delivered to TUNE. When you see an item in Cook OneSearch that you’d like to borrow, request the item and specify “TU Northeastern” as the pick-up location.
You’ll receive an email letting you know when your book is delivered. Bring your OneCard to the TUNE Welcome Desk or Suite 202 to pick up your book.

Study Spaces at TU in Northeastern Maryland
The Towson University in Northeastern Maryland (TUNE) facility offers a variety of study spaces for the individual student seeking a quiet spot as well as the group meeting to collaborate on a class project.
These spaces include the Learning Commons adjacent to the building’s main entrance, several group collaboration rooms with interactive displays, individual study rooms, and a computer lab.
All of these spaces remain open throughout the TUNE building’s general hours. Please visit the TUNE Welcome Desk with questions about the study spaces.
Academic Events and Activities
Nearly every week at TU in Northeastern Maryland (TUNE) during the academic term, workshops are offered on topics related to academic success including APA formatting and research strategies.
A number of extracurricular programs are organized throughout the year. In the spring, TUNE hosts an annual Edible Book Festival to celebrate National Library Week. During the fall term, International Games Week is observed with a daylong event at TUNE filled with fun activities. Visit the TUNE events web page for updates as they become available.
The TUNE library also boasts an extensive “Take a Book, Leave a Book” collection in TUNE Suite 202 to promote leisure reading among students. This is an honor system lending library. Feel free to browse these shelves and take a book with you. You may also bring in unwanted books that need a new home.
Visiting Harford Community College’s Library
The Towson University in Northeastern Maryland (TUNE) facility is located on the grounds of Harford Community College (HCC) in Bel Air, MD.
TUNE students are welcome to also visit the HCC Library for free access to computers and study spaces. Although the TUNE facility is closed on weekends, the HCC Library may be open on weekends when HCC classes are in session. Check the HCC website for hours information. To borrow print items from the HCC Library, TUNE students may sign up for a free community library card at the circulation desk on the second floor of the HCC Library. Photo identification indicating Maryland residency will be required.

Visiting Cecil College’s Library
TU in Northeastern Maryland (TUNE) students who are Cecil County residents may also use the academic library at Cecil College, Cecil County Veterans Memorial Library.
To borrow print items from this library, please visit the circulation desk to sign up for a county resident card. Photo identification indicating Cecil County residency will be required.

Visiting Cook Library in Towson
TU in Northeastern Maryland (TUNE) students are welcome to visit Cook Library on TU’s campus in Towson. Be sure to bring your OneCard and stop in to browse Cook Library's stacks, meet with librarians, and use the computers or study spaces. Cook Library is generally open on the weekends when parking is easy.
