To keep our patrons and staff safe and healthy during the COVID-19 pandemic, Special Collections and University Archives (SCUA) have updated policies and procedures for viewing materials.

SCUA is offering a variety of virtual services during the Fall 2020 semester to help you connect quickly and safely with Towson’s Special Collections and University Archives.

Live chat

Ask to be connected with SCUA staff using our Ask a Librarian live chat service, Monday through Friday, 8.30 a – 5pm.

Virtual video consultations

Video consultations allow you to talk with our staff live online, view materials, and receive high quality scans that help meet your research needs remotely.

To schedule a virtual video consultation, please fill out a Research Request form.

In-person appointments

The SCUA offices will be open by appointment-only during the Fall 2020 semester. Masks and physical distancing are required. Our reading room is cleaned and sanitized after every visit, and all materials are quarantined for a minimum of three days after use.

Online collections

SCUA provides free digital access to many of our most popular collections online, including yearbooks, course catalogs, newspapers, photographs, and more. See our collections.
