Classroom Use

DVD and VHS materials may be delivered to a departmental office or may be picked up at the Circulation Desk. Faculty may reserve materials for use in class and may borrow items for overnight or off-campus use for preview.

Request an item

Use our Media Request Form to request an item for viewing in your classroom.

Contact Lisa Vines ( | 410-704-5243) for inquiries about use of the Media Collection.

If you wish to present a video that we do not own, we can try to arrange for rental of the title from an outside firm. Please allow up to six weeks processing time before your show date. Please call our Media Specialist at 410-704-2456 to learn more and to request this service.

Faculty Reserves for Media

Audiovisual materials may be placed on reserve for use in Cook Library when needed by a class or group of students. Visual materials (DVD/VHS) in our collection are for in-library use only, and do not need to be placed on Reserve. However, since faculty may borrow them for short-term loans, we encourage you to let us know when you are requiring students to view a DVD or VHS for an assignment.

For more information on how to place media items on reserve, please visit our Course Reserves at Cook Library - Information for Faculty page.

Media Listening & Viewing Stations

Several listening & viewing stations are located on the 3rd floor near the Research Help Desk for your students to use with items in the Media Collection. Headphones are available for use upon request at the Circulation Desk with a valid TU OneCard.
