Residency Librarian
The Albert S. Cook Library seeks an early-career librarian from an underrepresented group for a two-year residency program to begin July 1, 2017.. The Towson University Library Residency for Diversity and Innovation program is designed to provide a broad range of experiences in academic librarianship, a supportive environment for professional exploration, and an opportunity for concentrated experience in an area of specialization. The purpose of the program is to help increase the presence of members of underrepresented groups in academic librarianship and to bring fresh ideas and new perspectives to the library.
Research & Instruction Librarian for History
Serve as a research and instruction librarian and as liaison and subject specialist to the Department of History and related disciplines as assigned. Plan and teach information literacy in liaison area and other disciplines. Participate in the development, implementation and assessment of a comprehensive, integrated information literacy program. Evaluate and select resources for the assigned collection and related areas; create instructional materials; provide research assistance and reference services to students, faculty and members of the university community and to the community at large.
